This is a charming oil painting on canvas. It is signed G. Morland on the front and back with the date 1867 (after George Morland, see below).
 
History: George Morland (1763 – 1804) was an English painter. Morland produced a huge number of paintings in his life and those paintings and subject choices became extremely popular and thus he was much imitated, copied and more so forged, even in his own life time.
 
The colour palette and scenery of this painting are so calming and lovely to look at. It would suit most interiors and can be framed, hung as it is or propped against a wall. Perfect size to fit any space or room. 
 
Due to the nature and age, it is showing some wear which adds to the character. Overall in good vintage condition. Please see photos as these form part of the description.
